Childcare & Kindergarten in Greensborough

Quality early education and nurturing care, inspiring confidence, creativity and a lifelong love of learning. It's normal to have a few questions when choosing the right early learning centre. We've answered the most common ones, from meals and opening hours to fees, tours and what to bring on your first day. Our educators believe in all children’s capacity to succeed and hold high expectations for their learning achievement. We value and support our collaborative relationships within our wider community.
With a strong focus on safety, quality, and school readiness, our experienced educators deliver the exclusive Lifelong Learning Curriculum - Australia’s most advanced approach to early childhood education. Children enjoy healthy meals prepared onsite, engaging learning environments, and personalised long daycare centre care tailored to their individual needs. Grounded in research and delivered by experienced educators, our curriculum inspires children to explore, imagine and grow through play-based programs that build confidence, curiosity and creativity. Our School Readiness program blends play-based exploration with guided learning experiences that prepare children for school and beyond.

They also provide a forum for voices to be heard, challenges to be addressed, and successes to be celebrated. This sense of connection strengthens teamwork and reinforces that each staff member plays a meaningful role in the organization’s success.Equally important is the learning that occurs during staff meetings. These moments allow teams to share knowledge, reflect on experiences, and learn from both successes and mistakes. Whether it’s gaining insight into new strategies, understanding policy updates, or learning from colleagues’ perspectives, staff meetings support continuous professional growth. Over time, this collective learning builds confidence, improves practice, and fosters a culture where improvement is ongoing rather than occasional.
With bright, spacious indoor and outdoor learning zones, a large playground, and developmentally appropriate resources, children have everything they need to explore, discover, and grow in confidence. All Affinity Education centres follow our exclusive Lifelong Learning Curriculum. This play-based program supports children’s development at every stage, helping them build confidence, curiosity, communication skills and social-emotional wellbeing, all while preparing them for school and life. At Happy Valley Early Learning Centre we are thrilled to be collaborating with Reggio Exchange to enhance our pedagogical approach. This partnership allows us to deepen our commitment to inquiry-based learning, ensuring that our educators are equipped with the tools and knowledge to inspire curiosity and foster meaningful learning experiences for every child. Using a self-guided curriculum, children are allowed to express themselves in different ways as they develop their personality.
The centre is clean, well organised, and communicates well with families. Our School Readiness program combines play-based learning with structured, government-approved kindergarten or preschool sessions led by qualified early childhood teachers. Educators guide children as they explore new ideas, practice independence and build language, social and self-help skills through fun, hands-on experiencs every day.

It’s a warm, welcoming environment where we know our son is safe and happy. In between, the day is filled with new and exciting experiences to engage young minds as part of their early childhood education. Here’s a glimpse of what a day of play-based learning at our childcare centre often looks like. Welcome to Guardian Childcare & Education Watsonia, formerly Watsonia Early Learning Centre. Our centre has been providing a quality kindergarten program for our community since 1959. The Victorian Government offers funding to provide families up to 15 hours of Free Kindergarten a week, in addition to the Childcare Subsidy. The funding offsets the fees for three and four-year-old children that are part of the centre's long day care Kindergarten program. Families will save up to $2,101 a year for children aged three-years-old and above in eligible long day cares.
And as experienced and expert providers, we are committed to creating programs that nurture every child in our care. As our rocket logo suggests, we want our little people to explore far and wide, reach for the stars and shine bright! We invite you to become a part of our beautiful community and thank you for the honour of being part of the village that helps to raise your  child. Our daily rates are all inclusive and have no additional charges for incursions / excursions or any of our learning programs. The rates shown are an estimate based on using Childcare Subsidy (CCS) subsidised hours. The CCS helps lower your out-of-pocket costs, with subsidy rates dependant on your individual family eligibility levels.

Our purpose-built centres are a ‘home away from home’ sanctuary with light filled and beautifully appointed indoor and outdoor play and learning environments. We have expansive and exciting natural play spaces with loads of room to play, explore, problem solve, learn, grow, and thrive. Children enjoy lunch, which is an important ritual that supports children’s independence & social skills. Engaging experiences will be set up so your toddler feels comfortable and can start playing with other children.
Book a tour, enquire about availability, or speak with our friendly team today. Our team plans more opportunities for play, exploration, creativity and fun with friends, before coming together for afternoon tea, where the team supports their growing independence with opportunities to practice serving  themselves. Whether it’s a one-off issue or requires ongoing care, talk to your teachers if your child is on regular medication or has food allergies or intolerances. The team is there to support your family, and the more you can tell them, the better they can help. They will ask you for information from your doctor about how much your child takes and how often. They will set up a new plan to support you, including any necessary training.
The staff are warm, welcoming, and genuinely invested in the children’s wellbeing. There’s very low staff turnover, which has helped our son feel safe and  supported throughout his time there. The play spaces are fantastic—including a garden and chickens—which make for a fun and engaging environment.
