We understand that navigating the Child Care Subsidy can be tricky, especially for families new to child care. As educators, we are committed to continuous growth, refining our skills to deliver high-quality early childhood education for every child. Our goal is to create a space where learning is engaging, meaningful, and empowering. I’m Sue Stonyer, Nominated Supervisor, Educational Leader, and Teacher at Pakenham Springs Children’s Centre.
Our Pathways to School curriculum fosters a love of reading and strong language skills through storytelling, vocabulary building, and phonological awareness. With personalised support, children develop critical thinking and communication skills. We nurture enthusiasm for language, believing strong foundations are essential for academic success and lifelong learning. We prioritise clear and consistent communication with families to foster a strong partnership in supporting each child’s development.
We educate and care for nursery-aged children throughout the day, with dedicated indoor and outdoor learning spaces, plus safe sleeping areas for rest. We create a sense of belonging for your child to ensure they feel heard and empowered to make choices, fostering their independence. We celebrate each child’s unique strengths, helping them to thrive in a supportive and inclusive environment. Children develop early literacy through storytelling, books, songs and meaningful conversations. Educators support children to explore language in many forms, including speaking, listening, viewing, drawing and writing, while building confidence communicating with others.

At Community Kids, we work closely with our families to enhance children’s development and ignite their passion for learning. We operate over 70 childcare and early learning centres, providing long day care and Government-approved Kindergarten and Preschool programs. Although we offer both childcare and kindergarten in our centres, the two are different. We offer childcare for children aged from 6 weeks old for families who require care for their children. While we offer educational programs to younger children, our 3-year-old and 4-year-old Kindergarten programs offer a structured approach to the children’s education.
Not only are they healthy, but they are also incredibly delicious—our kitchens truly are the heart of our service. What makes my role at Little Saints Pakenham particularly special is my personal connection to our community. I understand the morning rush, the importance of a reassuring update during the day, and the  peace of mind that comes from knowing your child is in expert hands. This dual perspective allows me to support our families with the professional expertise of an educator and the genuine empathy of a fellow parent.
